Charity Soccer Match — June 8, 2026

Fundraiser Event #2 — Fall 2026 Charity Match

After the success of our first Charity Soccer Match in June 2026, Be An Elf! – Helping Hungry Kids and the BAE Club at East Mecklenburg High School are excited to bring the community together again for our second Charity Match this fall.

Our first event raised $600 to support children and families experiencing food insecurity throughout the Charlotte-Mecklenburg community. More importantly, it showed us how students, families, friends, players, volunteers, and community members can come together around a shared purpose.

Building on Our First Success

This second Charity Match is part of a growing effort by the BAE Club to create new ways for students to get involved in the mission of Be An Elf! – Helping Hungry Kids.

Club members will help organize the event, raise funds, recruit participants, volunteer, and support the larger work of the nonprofit. Funds raised will help provide food, meal boxes, family sanitary kits, and other essential supplies to children and families in need.

The BAE Club will also help with one of the most important parts of our work: packing and delivering the supplies we purchase with the funds we raise.

More Than a Game

The Charity Match is about more than soccer. It is about creating a fun way for people to serve together while raising awareness about childhood hunger in our own community.

Be An Elf! has grown from a first-grade fundraiser started in 2018 into a registered nonprofit that has provided more than 17,000 healthy meals and 1,400 family sanitary kits and raised over $21,000.

Through the BAE Club, we hope to continue that growth by giving more students the opportunity to participate, volunteer, organize events, and make a difference.

Help Us Make Charity Match #2 Even Bigger

Whether you play, volunteer, attend, donate, or share our fundraiser, you can be part of this effort.

Our first Charity Match showed us what is possible when a community comes together. This fall, we hope to reach even more people and make an even greater impact.
