A Successful Day of Giving Back

On June 8, 2026, Be An Elf! – Helping Hungry Kids, led by its founder Ishan Sundaram, successfully hosted a Charity Soccer Match at the Mecklenburg County Regional Sportsplex.

As the founder and main organizer of the event, Ishan Sundaram brought together students, players, families, friends, and community members for an afternoon of soccer, fun, and community service. The event was organized to raise funds and awareness for Be An Elf! – Helping Hungry Kids and its mission to support children and families experiencing food insecurity throughout the Charlotte-Mecklenburg community.

$600 Raised for Hungry Kids

Thanks to the generosity and participation of everyone involved, the Charity Soccer Match successfully raised $600 for Be An Elf! – Helping Hungry Kids.

These funds will help support the organization's efforts to provide nutritious meals, essential hygiene and sanitary supplies, and other assistance to children and families in need.

Every player, spectator, volunteer, donor, and supporter played an important part in making this event a success.

Bringing Our Community Together

The Charity Soccer Match was about more than soccer. It was about bringing people together for a meaningful cause and showing what we can accomplish when our community works together.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated, donated, volunteered, played, refereed, or attended the event and helped make this fundraiser possible.

Looking Ahead: Fall 2026

The success of our June event is only the beginning. We are excited to announce that the next Be An Elf! – Helping Hungry Kids Charity Game is planned for Fall 2026!

We look forward to bringing our community together again and making an even greater impact.
